Time Out / Cornertime
Another classical means of punishment, reinforcing discipline and getting him to focus on the issues at hand.
Has the benefit of being a definite "time out" and helps with thinking but it can also act as a diffusing device for any given situation interrupting undesirable behaviour. It is also important rituals are used if this becomes a regular punishment. |

Materials
All that is really needed is an understood set of commands, a nominated corner or room and possibly a chair or rug as shown later.
Setting up the structure
When introducing the idea of informed time out the husband needs to be informed of what he must do.
Unless there is s definite need to make it up on the fly, the husband should be told about the details of how his time out regime works.
He should be shown "his" corner, or step etc. in a clam planned way.
He should be made familiar with the commands to be used.
This will allow the first few uses to be straightforward until a routine is established
