Basics
Does your husband deserve to be metaphorically chained to his laptop or PC typing a repetitive line, sentence, phrase or paragraph for you over and over and over again? This is exactly what Writeforme! will do for you, allowing you to focus on more interesting things in the knowledge that Writeforme! is keeping your husband busy and out of mischief.
Even better, Writeforme! will email you when your husband finishes each Task.
The good news is Writeforme! will not allow your husband to cheat as it can detect copy and paste so he must type every single letter, space and punctuation mark.
Once you’ve created a Task, Writeforme! will generate a link which you can give or email to your husband. The beauty of this is that you don’t need to be together to set your husband a Task, simply email him the link from wherever you are and you’ll know he’ll be kept busy.
Create a Task
It’s very simple to create a Task, you simply log into Writeforme! click ‘Create a new Task’ and input the details you require:
Writeforme! will know when your husband is typing and when he’s not so you can set how many additional lines Writeforme! should add after a typing break (you can set the number of seconds that constitute a break) – for example, you could set: After a break of 15 seconds, I want to add 3 additional lines.
It will take you only a few minutes to create a Task and, once created, it is always available for you to make your husband do – a few minutes for you, potentially hours and hours and hours for your husband.
In fact, once you’ve created a Task you never need to create another one ever unless you want to, and a simple ‘Go do your Write for me! Task’ is all you need to say to your husband by way of instruction.
This is an ideal way of keeping your husband under control whilst you, or he, are away from home. Those business trip evenings can be filled so easily.
Options
There are numerous options but the two recommended are:
Complexities
Writeforme! allows you to add further complexities to a Task to make it more difficult for your husband, although you are advised to use these sparingly as it can make the Task gimmicky and less like a traditional punishment.
The complexities you can add are:

Create a Task
It’s very simple to create a Task, you simply log into Writeforme! click ‘Create a new Task’ and input the details you require:
- Name of your Task
- The line you want your husband to type
- How many times you want your husband to type the line
- How many additional lines you want Writeforme! to add for each mistake your husband makes
- Whether or not you want a sound to make your husband aware he’s made a mistake
Writeforme! will know when your husband is typing and when he’s not so you can set how many additional lines Writeforme! should add after a typing break (you can set the number of seconds that constitute a break) – for example, you could set: After a break of 15 seconds, I want to add 3 additional lines.
- Introductory text – your husband will see this before he starts the Task
- Reward text – your husband will see this when he completes the Task
- Email confirmation – you can tick or untick this but we recommend you tick this so that Writeforme! will email you when your husband completes the Task.
- Short tasks – a single line with a few repetitions that can be completed in approximately 1-5 minutes, but you ask your husband to do the Task multiple times. You can use the Reward text (which your husband won’t see until he’s completed the Task the first time) to set instructions on how many times your husband needs to repeat the Task. Or you can be sneaky and use the Reward text to instruct your husband to repeat the Task as many times as he wants but noting that you have a number in mind and he’ll be further punished by you if he doesn’t achieve your number. The beauty of the repeated short Tasks is you’ll receive an email every time he completes a Task. Short Tasks are fun – maybe not for your husband, but definitely for you! The best bit is you can monitor each email as it comes in live. You know exactly what he is doing whilst you have fun.
- Long tasks – a single line but with a lot of repetitions, maybe 100 or 150. This will keep your husband busy for a prolonged period of time, particularly if you include additional lines for mistakes and breaks. This is more of a traditional punishment and you’ll receive one email when your husband completes the longer task.
Complexities
Writeforme! allows you to add further complexities to a Task to make it more difficult for your husband, although you are advised to use these sparingly as it can make the Task gimmicky and less like a traditional punishment.
The complexities you can add are:
- Chinese Whisper (for every mistake, one letter will be randomised)
- Blind Flight (the number of lines and the punishment options are hidden while typing, also, there are no statistics except a progress bar)
- Blind Typing (the typed text is hidden, there will be a placeholder text indicating when a line is complete or if there was a mistake)
- Interruptions (you can have Writeforme! interrupt your husband while he's typing by selecting Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Often, All The Time! on a slider bar) - if you choose to use interruptions you can set what you want the interruption messages to say.
